Reporting and Moderation
What you can report, what information helps, and what happens after a report is submitted.
Identify it
Select the user, journal entry, or skill demo connected with your concern.
Explain it
Choose the closest reason and provide enough accurate context to investigate.
Submit it
An authorized Frostbite administrator or moderator may review the report.
What You Can Report
- A user: including their profile picture or profile-related behavior.
- A journal entry: an individual entry that may violate Frostbite’s rules.
- A skill demo: an individual skill demonstration video that may violate Frostbite’s rules.
What to Include
Choose the most accurate report reason and explain what happened. Include enough information to identify the user or content and understand the concern. If timing or context matters, describe it. Do not include passwords, access tokens, two-factor codes, unnecessary personal information, or unrelated private material.
A report may contain the reported user’s identifier, the reporting user’s identifier, the resource type and resource ID for a journal entry or skill demo, a category and subcategory, and the complaint details you provide. Frostbite uses this information to investigate the report and document moderation review.
What Happens Next
Reports may be reviewed by authorized Frostbite administrators or moderators. Depending on the findings, Frostbite may take no action; remove a profile picture, journal entry, or skill demo; limit access to a feature; restrict an account; suspend an account; or permanently ban an account. Frostbite may also take action when it identifies a violation even if nobody submitted a report. Safety, legal, or technical considerations may limit the details Frostbite can share about a review or another user’s account.
Frostbite does not guarantee that user-generated content is accurate or appropriate, or that reported content will be reviewed or removed immediately. Do not rely on Frostbite reporting for emergencies.
Automated and Manual Review
Profile pictures are subject to automated nudity screening and may also be manually reviewed or removed. Frostbite does not currently claim automated moderation of journal entries or skill demos. Those resources may be reviewed manually after a report or when Frostbite otherwise identifies a potential violation.
Privacy and Visibility
Journal entries may contain personal or sensitive information. Avoid sharing information you do not want other people to see and check the entry’s privacy settings. Profile pictures and skill demos may be visible to other users depending on account, approval, and privacy settings.
Contact Frostbite
If the in-app reporting control is unavailable, or you need help with a safety or moderation concern, email [email protected]. Include your Frostbite username and enough information to investigate. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
Appealing a Suspension or Ban
If your account is suspended or permanently banned, email [email protected] from the email address associated with your Frostbite account. You do not need to be logged in. Include your account email address, Frostbite username, and an explanation of why you believe the restriction is incorrect. Appeals are reviewed manually. Frostbite will respond within a reasonable timeframe when possible, but submitting an appeal does not guarantee reversal.
